Wednesday 10th June Sutton to Kenilworth

Wednesday 10th June
Sutton Coldfield to Kenilworth

🚴ROUTE OVERVIEW

Distance: ~29 miles (47km) Elevation: ~1100ft Estimated time: 4.5 hours including breaks & publicity

Overview: More than halfway through the challenge, Day 5 is my shortest day. Staying with family overnight it will be time to catch up with washing and admin! Despite being only 29 miles (more than a marathon), it isn't a flat route like the seaside town where I live! I'll start by going through Sutton park, which has a hilly parkrun, then follow nature reserves and canals to avoid busy inner city traffic around Birmingham. After reaching the busy city of Coventry I'll cycle through Warwick University campus then on to Kenilworth Old Town for a quick peek at the castle before finishing.

Key Points

Start: Sutton Coldfield. Mid‑points: New Hall Valley Cycle Route → Wylde Green → Plantsbrook → Birmingham & Fazeley Canal → Minworth → Water Orton → Meriden → Four Oaks → Tile Hill → Warwick University → Crackley. Finish: Kenilworth

Supporters / publicity break: The Barn @ Berryfields, Berkswell Road, Meriden
